2021 can’t come fast enough.

Two reasons. First, it’s really coming up fast. Second, well you know how 2020 has gone so far. 😒

Despite the bumps and bruises 2020 has dealt us and our clients, we’ve still been able to help businesses reach record growth and exceed their goals. We don’t take this success lightly! It has been hard-earned and we’re more than happy to share key takeaways we’re bringing with us into 2021.

What We Learned in 2020

Agility is crucial. You’ve probably heard the saying “expect the unexpected.” As a small business owner, this is less of a saying and more of a motto. 2020 was full of unexpected problems, and we found that our clients who have exhibited agile thinking around new problems have been able to achieve wins despite the challenges. 

Creative testing is an important factor in a business’ success. Using creative testing has proved to be critical for helping businesses identify winning ad campaigns. A business’ ability and willingness to practice creative testing can be the difference between that business struggling or succeeding. 

Because so much goes into creative testing (resources, time, money), we hope to see greater accessibility for creative testing and tools for small businesses in the next few years. 

What We Expect in 2021

We’ve got a few ideas about the direction of digital marketing in 2021. Take a peek at our predictions for the year ahead:

🔮 Consumers will start shopping more for activities, experiences, and products that get them out of their homes (safely). Think: camping supplies, hiking boots, water bottles, and other adventure gear.

🔮 Influencer marketing will continue to grow, as people become more conscious of how they make their purchasing choices and seek out trusted recommendations.

🔮 Brand loyalty is back! People are looking for brands they are excited to support, who have crafted a unique value proposition that aligns with their audience interests.
