Video Poll Ads

With inspiration from polls in Stories, Facebook recently came out with Video Poll Ads. They have been making quite a splash with increasing brand awareness and boosting engagement compared to regular video ads. Check out the example of poll ads below.

Multiple Text Options

Exciting news...you no longer have to duplicate ads to test ad copy! Facebook now has the option to place multiple versions of ad copy in one ad. You can add up to 5 different variations for your primary text, headlines, and descriptions. Just make sure that all combinations work together and don’t contradict each other.

Here’s some examples that Facebook gives.

Include pricing information that could prompt people to act.

Option 1: All-inclusive services available at low prices! Option 2: All-inclusive services available for just $19.99!

Add data to show your business value.

Option 1: Save money by calling us! Option 2: 80% of new customers save money by calling us!

Incorporate a quote from a review or testimonial.

Option 1: Our customers call our pizza the best pizza in Seattle. Option 2: “Literally the best pizza in Seattle.” —Recent customer

Ask a question to capture your audience’s attention.

Option 1: Get a set of dumbbells for free! Option 2: Want a free set of dumbbells?

Encourage people to experience your product or service.

Option 1: The whole family will enjoy this activity. Option 2: Keep the whole family entertained.

Here’s a picture of the multiple text options below.

New Reporting Features

To make advertisers’ lives easier, Facebook also just came up with new reporting features. The new features can be found in the Ads Manager Dashboard under Ads Reporting.

One of the updates is Cross-Account Reporting, which Facebook says will serve as a one-stop-shop for clear, concise report on your business’ performance. This will save time and effort that you may have been using to build these reports manually.

The other new feature is the custom metrics tool which will allow you to build reports based on the metrics that best align with your business goals.  See the example below.
